It has a good response time and worked well during our testing, without alerting us of any errors. The application has a good response time and quickly performs a transfer while using a moderate amount of CPU and system memory. Several customization settings are available you can hide the transfer and preview windows, make PhotoSync Companion automatically run at system startup, hide the "drag and drop" area on the startup, as well as restart the service and disable the QuickHelp window. If you want to copy items from the devices to the computer, you may change the default output directory and allow the app to automatically create subfolders and to reveal them in Explorer when the transfer is successfully performed, while the uploads can be sorted by name or date (in ascending or descending order). Alternatively, you can use the file browser.

The goal is to simplify the user's activity when he or she wants to transfer numerous video and image files to and from the Apple devices we have previously mentioned.įor instance, you can browse Windows Explorer, select one or multiple files and directly drop them on the designated area. Once installed, the app places an icon in the system tray area, from where you can access the Settings screen and trigger other actions. I believe there's an app from the app store that lets you transfer files from iPhone to Android, but I'm not too sure.ĮDIT: You can follow this: or you just export it out of iTunes and drop it to your new phone.ĮDIT2: PhotoSync claims you can transfer photos over WiFi without internet, but I can't test this because I don't have an iDevice.PhotoSync Companion is a quick solution to transferring image and videos to and from iPod, iPhone and iPad devices, thanks to a "drag and drop" area placed on the desktop. The USB-A end of the cable can still work on legacy ports from laptops and other things that is USB-A. > Is there an easy way to transfer data? like to get photos and contacts from iPhone to the OPT, and I've heard that the USB-C the phone uses requires an extra adapter to connect to your computer if your computer doesnt have a USB-C port.
Photosync client update#
I think this was fixed on a quick update long ago, didn't experience this because the phone updated right after I set it up. > Whats this that I hear about the home "button" not working while it is plugged in? I hear some people cant use the home button while the phone is charging, heard some people can but it only works like half the time, and some people have no problem at all.

I don't invest much on cases because I want the phone to be slick and thin, but I did buy one of these because it's quite hard and thin and feels good to the touch and covers the phone's edges in case of an accidental drop.

> What is good for protecting the phone? I know it comes with a screen protector on it out of the box, and I ordered a dbrand skin, but I haven't seen any cases that stand out on amazon or anything.
Photosync client install#
Particularly the latest Facebook app not working properly in OPT, but a workaround is to install the version 46.0.0.26.153 one and don't let your phone auto-update. Plus, the OPT is relatively new, so expect bugs on it. You get a smoother user experience with an iPhone (not saying the OPT isn't buttery smooth), but you'll get more choices of what you want to do with an OPT. The OPT is definitely faster specs-wise, but the iOS is known to be optimized specifically for the iPhone's hardware. >Whats the general opinion of the phone? I'm currently using an iPhone 6, I like the phone but apple is getting on my nerves, but how does the OPT compare?
